SHE USES SCISSORS TO CUT PLASTIC SPOONS, THEN GLUES THEM TO THIS! ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!

SHE MADE A BEAUTIFUL MIRROR USING SPOONS, AND IT TURNED OUT MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN IT SOUNDS! HOW SHE DID IT IS SO SIMPLE, TOO!

Plastic spoons have a lot more potential than just being a utensil to eat food during a backyard BBQ.

Although they’re great to have to serve large groups, the inexpensive plastic silverware is actually great when it comes to something else entirely: wall decor.

Although it might sound like a crazy concept, Linda from Craftaholics Anonymous decided to use plastic spoons to create a gorgeous mirror for her wall!!

All it takes is some cardboard, a round mirror, spray paint, and spoons to make this inexpensive craft that looks a lot more glamorous put together than the materials do on their own.

Linda started by cutting a cardboard box into a circle and then traced the shape of the circular mirror in the center.

Then, she set the mirror aside and grabbed the spoons. Linda took some scissors and scored the spoons where the handle met the bowl of the spoon. Doing this made it easier for her to carefully snap the handle off of all the spoons. She did this to 80 in total.

After that, she started to hot glue the bowls of the spoons in a circular pattern onto the cardboard, starting with the outside edge. Linda did this on the entire circle of cardboard until she reached the edges of the circle she drew in the center.

Once the glue had set and all the spoons were in place, Linda spraypainted the whole thing with her first coat.

She chose to use clear spoons so that she would not have to go back and spray the backs of the spoons as well.

Once the first coat dried, she went back over the whole thing with a second, making sure any cardboard showing through the spoons was spraypainted as well.

After waiting one more time for the paint to dry, Linda went back and hot glued the little mirror to the center of the spoons, covering up the circle.

The finishing touch for Linda’s project was to hot glue a loop of ribbon to the back in order to hang the mirror on the wall.

The ribbon won’t hold too much weight, but Linda said that it doesn’t matter because the spoons make the mirror extremely light.

Once it’s up on her wall, the spoon mirror looks amazing. No one would notice that she used spoons if they didn’t know!
