Owner’s son amazed where broken hearted dog goes when he follows him after running away

It can be devastating for a person when they lose a pet. After spending so much time with your pet, they gradually become a valued member of the family. Naturally you all go through the grieving process together when you lose a family pet.

The same thing happens to a pet when they lose their owner. In January 2017, Cesur lost his owner Mehmet Ilhan who passed away at the age of 79. Cesur displayed his loyalty to the Mehmet who struggled during these last two years of his life

Mehmet eventually passed away close to his home in Bursa, Turkey, following a long illness which left him paralyzed. His loving dog was broken hearted.

Because of my father’s paralysis, they had a different kind of connection,” Mehmet’s son Ali explains. “When my father was in the hospital during his last days, Cesur stopped eating.”

Once Mehmets’s body was returned from the hospital his faithful dog remained close by him, refusing to move.

During the funeral procession Cesur was inthe lead.

Cesur sat next to Mehmet’s coffin, his head bowed all the time during the burial.

Nobody could touch him until my father was taken to the grave and was buried,” said Ali.

Cesur witnessed the moment his owner was laid to rest.

Cesur now lives with Ali, since his his owner passed but he still misses his Mehmet.

Ali noticed that after he left for work, Cesur would take off somewhere.

One day a couple of weeks after noticing this trend Ali decided to follow the dog to see where he went off to.

It was then that Ali discovered Cesur would go to the cemetery to visit his previous owner each day.

“The people who work in the cemetery say the first thing he does in the morning is visit the grave of my father,” said Ali.

Its uncertain if Cesur will recover from his sadness, but in the meantime he is in the capable hands of Muhmet’s son, who makes sure he is well looked after.

Cesur has always been a noble animal,” said Ali. “He will remain with me from now on.
