Mom straps baby in carseat and throws her out two-story window seconds before taking her final breath

Once a woman becomes a mother it’s amazing how her intuition kicks in automatically.

Suddenly her life is no longer about just herself as her child’s safety comes first — no matter what happens.

The following story is a perfect example of a mother’s love is both incredibly sad and very heartwarming.

21-year-old Shelby Ann Carter and her boyfriend lived with her mother in Wyoming, and were beginning to build their life.

In January 2017, the couple welcomed a beautiful daughter into the world. Naturally Shelby was delighted to become a mother.

However, on January 30th in 2017, the worst thing possible thing occurred which was a terrible tragedy.

Shelby Carter was home alone with her newborn daughter when their home suddenly caught fire.

It spread quickly and in just a few seconds the house was filled with dangerous smoke with nowhere to escape.

Firefighters raced to the schene, once the flames were finally under control they made a horrendous discovery on the second floor.

Shelby Carter had succumbed the smoke and passed away from carbon monoxide poisoning.

During all of the commotion firefighters found something amazing which proved to them that a parent will do anything for her child.

Even in the most life-threatening circumstances Shelby had the presence of mind to quickly strap her into the carseat.

SecurING her newborn daughter in a car seat SHE dropped her from the second-floor window. In her final breath, she sacrificed her life for her daughter’s.

Once the firefighters found the little girl, who is named Keana, they took her straight to the hospital worried that she had also been injured by the smoke.

Her daughter was completely unscathed thanks to her mothers quick thinking.

It’s just incredible that she was able to pull her thoughts together to save her baby… I’d say it’s nothing short of a miracle the way it ended up”, Chief of the Wyoming-Speer Fire Protection District Ed Foglesonger explains.

Shelby Carter’s death was painful blow to the residents of Wyoming, a close-knit town of 1,400 people about three hours southwest of Chicago.

Following the incident neighbours began spreading the word on the Internet to help rebuild the house and provide some financial support for Shelby’s family members.

In just a few weeks, their fund reached almost $40,000. Shelby Carter’s actions show the power of a mother’s love for her children.
