For years people shudder at the undesirable sight of extra-long nostril hair peeking out of nostrils, a new beauty trend has emerged where people are purposely trying to make nose hair appear longer.
There are now extensions being created to give the illusion that one’s nose has hair peeking out.
One Insta user @gret_chen_chen, uses false eyelashes to create her look and she isn’t the only one onto this trend. Plenty of others have caught on to this bizarre beauty trend.
There has been a fair share of weird beauty trends, like ants in fingernails and bow brows, nose hair extensions may just have topped the list. Being completely honest it looks almost like spider legs, perhaps some people dig that look.
If you’re intrigued then log on to Instagram and #nosehairextensions to see plenty of delightful pictures of women proudly displaying their nose hair extensions.
Although, this isn’t the first time things have been getting stuck up people’s noses. Not too long ago, there was a man who went to his doctor complaining of a blocked nose only to find there was a tooth up there.
The 59-year-old man from Denmark had put up with congestion, discharge and no sense of smell for a couple of years, when he decided to go the doctors and check out what was going on.
Following an X-ray and examination doctors were surprised to find a tooth up his nose.
Apparently, when the man was younger, he had experienced a facial trauma, which resulted in a fractured jaw and nose. Medical experts believe that the ensuing damage may have been the cause of the tooth in his nasal cavity.
Dr Milos Fuglsang wrote in BMJ Case Reports: “Our patient most likely had the intranasal retained tooth most of his life, but had late onset of symptoms.”
Each their own, but we can’t help but hope this odd trend fizzles out fast.
